HOW TO FIND US
Travelling by Car
If travelling from the M6, leave the motorway at junction 27 then travel, as would visitors from Standish, on the A5209 towards Parbold.
Go past the Miller & Carter (Restaurant & Pub), which is on the top of Parbold Hill. Start to descend the hill and soon the church entrance and car park will be seen on the right.
If travelling from or via Burscough, Newburgh, or Parbold travel on the A5209 towards Wigan and up Parbold Hill. Shortly after passing the speed camera, the church car park and entrance will be seen on the left.
There are ramps for disabled access from the carpark and the front gate. Please contact us in advance if you require assistance.
Travelling by Bus or Train
Unfortunately, no buses stop outside the church on Sundays, although the 961 Bus Service, operated by Arriva Northwest, does so during the week. There are also no buses to Parbold on Sundays.
Visitors can visit Christ Church on Sundays if they travel by Northern Rail to Parbold Station by train and then walk up Parbold Hill. For the return journey, one of our church members will be able to provide a lift back to Parbold station by car.
If you contact us in advance we may also be able to arrange to pick you up from the station.
